The Hacienda de Soubran: a charming estate in Charente-Maritime with a swimming pool and 4-hectare park. A relaxing nature getaway near Blaye and Talmont.


Welcome to L'Hacienda de Soubran , a characterful estate steeped in history, located in the heart of Charente-Maritime.

Built in 1777, this iconic building has had several lives: the grounds of the Château de Soubran, the administrative center for the La Rochefoucauld accounts, a hotel, and then a restaurant. After more than 12 years of inactivity, it is now being reborn through an ambitious renovation project, driven by the desire to breathe new life into this unique place.

Now renamed L'Hacienda de Soubran , the property captivates with its unique atmosphere and Mexican influences, its courtyard adorned with palm and banana trees, and its peaceful setting in the heart of the village. It extends over 4 hectares of wooded and flower-filled grounds, offering a true haven of tranquility.

The property currently offers 5 accommodations for 2 to 4 people, with several other spaces under development, as part of a gradual upgrade. Unfortunately, our establishment is not equipped for children under 10 years old.

On-site, enjoy an outdoor swimming pool, a relaxing garden, walks around the pond, or activities such as hiking and fishing. Here, time slows down to offer you an authentic and rejuvenating experience.

Ideally located, L'Hacienda de Soubran offers easy access to the region's must-see attractions:

  • 30 minutes from Blaye and its citadel,
  • 45 minutes from Talmont-sur-Gironde,
  • 17 minutes from the port of Vitrezay.

Between nature, heritage and a change of scenery, this exceptional estate is an invitation to experience a timeless stay in Charente-Maritime.
